VESSEL DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION:  LEGACY has a “dinette interior” that sleeps 6, is set-up for shorthanded sailing, and in 2002 received a refit at the Hinckley Yard in Southwest Harbor, ME that include reverse-cycle air conditioning, generator, autopilot and much more.  She has had more upgrades since then and is currently stored out of the water in heated storage at Hinckley Maine

 

HULL AND DECK:

Construction:

  • Solid hand laid fiberglass hull reinforced with additional laminations in all stress areas.
  • Deck is set in a 6" flange that is molded into the hull, fiberglassed and bolted to form a permanent hull/deck joint.
  • External lead keel with centerboard is fastened with stainless steel bolts.
  • Bronze centerboard is operated by a worm gear with override in case of grounding.
