=============================================

Statement from Prior Owner - as of 2022

The Westerbeke 58 hp. has a total engine run time of 3,354.0 hrs [updated hourmeter reading 3580].  The engine was reported to have been overhauled in 1992.  At the time of purchase in 1995, the engine had 1141.72 run time hours.

The engine oil and transmission oil coolers have been removed, cleaned and tested for leaks.  The end plates on the exhaust manifold engine cooler were removed to facilitate cleaning of the cooler.  New belts and hoses were replaced as wear dictated.  The engine was painted for corrosion control and overall appearance.   The engine also employs a Groco electric oil change pump for easy oil changes.  An extra early warning temperature switch is mounted on the water injection elbow for redundancy.  The engine compartment is accessible via a hinged cover which provides full access for service

The transmission is a Borg Warner [velvet drive] with a reduction ratio of 2.57:1.  The propeller shaft is 1.25” stainless steel with a conventional stuffing box.  Fuel is stored in two integral fuel tanks mounted port and starboard and utilizes dual selectable Racor fuel filters and an Algae-X Magnetic Fuel Conditioner as part of the fuel delivery system.  Two 6” hand ways in each tank provide access for inspection

HISTORY OF LITTLE HARBOR 44 "ALICE"

This particular LH-44 was delivered in August 1983 to an owner in Cleveland, OH, having been built like the others by Alexander Marine Co. at Kaohsiung Taiwan for the Little Harbor Boat Yard Corporation. In April 1987, she was conveyed to her second owner, first of St. Louis, MO, and later of Miami, FL. Her third owner bought her in December 1995 and took her back to the Great Lakes,  Shortly after the purchase, she was motored (mast on deck) down the Mississippi to Mobile, AL. From there, ALICE cruised the Caribbean for seven years.

The current owner purchased her in December 2022 and trucked her from Tennessee to Annapolis, MD - where she been a partial-liveaboard,  ALICE has cruised on the Chesapeake and "done some good-spirited charity events and fun racing as well."
