1994 Alden Motor Yacht
A comprehensive and thoughtful post-Covid refit makes this an almost new classic. The current owners have returned to sail, having purchased a Tartan 5300, so this updated beauty is available for a fraction of the cost of new. Assisted by the original Ray Hunt Associates design team, she has been repowered with 2020 Cummins 550 hp engines, ZF transmissions, shafts, propellers, and electronic controls, and now cruises at 19-20 kts (24-25 kts WOT). Other major systems upgrades include all new batteries, battery switches, battery wiring, two Victron 5000 watt inverters, Victron controller (automatically switches among available power sources), bow and stern thrusters (dedicated batteries), windlass, custom bow chocks, electric range, microwave and convection oven, custom main salon table, custom carbon fiber hardtop with solar panels, all navigation electronics, 6.7 Cu Ft Isotherm dual drawer refrigerator, Sea Frost freezer plates and compressor, hot water heater, remote searchlight (dual controls), main salon lighting and ceiling liner, flybridge canvas, main salon cushions, flybridge cushions, flybridge swivel chairs, Teak Systems teak decking on the aft deck, and swim platform, and Spectra Catalina 14 gph water maker. She sleeps six in three cabins, with her galley up in the spacious main salon and carries 800 gallons of diesel and 200 gallons of water.
The location is Jamestown, RI, available to be seen on short notice.

WHIRLAWAY is a classic three-stateroom flybridge motor yacht, designed by C. Raymond Hunt Associates. The interior finish is American cherry, crafted with New England craftsmanship. She is equipped with complete electronics at the upper and lower helm stations. The aft owner stateroom (queen), the forward cabin (V-berth), and the port cabin (pilot berths) provide berths for a crew of six. There are two heads, both with full shower stalls.
